The best advice you’ll ever receive…

Especially nowadays in the productivity world that we live in, there is no shortage of life advice from people that don’t even know how old we are, where we are at in life, let alone what advice we need to hear at a particular moment in our lives. Self-improvement and productivity ‘influencers’ attempt to generalize their advice and motivation from there specific aspirations, their specific past, and their specific lifestyle, and share it with the world, packaged in a way that makes the viewer believe that if they are not in the same boat, that they will drown in their current predicament, as theirs has a hole in the bottom of it, and they are sinking ith it. But the truth is, is that the other person’s boat is not sinking, it’s just in a different area of the ocean. The influencer is on land, and the influenced is not, or maybe they are, but just at a different area of the island. Either way, this becomes very damaging to the general population, as most thoughts put out into the world are taken in by a generalized consensus.

It’s funny, by the way, that we call them influencers, it really irritates me in fact. Like, your trying to influence me to buy your workout program? I barely can influence myself to not lay down when I get him since I know FOR A FACT that it will turn into a hour and a half nap that will FOR SURE turn my attempt to fall asleep tonight into a complete CATASTROPHE!

And don’t even start with me on followers! Jesus only had 12 followers, and He was the most inspirational person in history, so that, along with how easy it is now to get followers through different apps and other, doesn’t mean jack to me anymore. Other people literally tried to request to follow him, and he denied most of them, even telling one to straight up go home (for good reason, but still). I hope that society is picking up now that just because you have more followers, doesn’t mean that there is more validity to the following, but you never know with this country…

The truth is, no matter how many bugattis one has, how much they make a year (which, by the way, is never true), or how overall ‘great’ their life is, the advice they give may not necessarily be wrong, but it is also not necessarily correct either. Most specific advice is usually only noticiably  affective to the one that first learned it.

If you really are looking for advice, motivation, inspiration, or just someone or something that can help guide you into the right direction, here is TRULY the best advice you can take…

The best advice you will EVER receive…is the one you EARN…through your own experiences.

That is it, that’s the world of advice summed up into one sentence. Advice, most of the time, has the majority of its value lying within the heart and mind of the one giving it.

This relates back to a previous piece I had written before about how the media portrays people winning all the time, and we never get to see the failing side of life ever. If you TRULY want to get ahead of 99% of people in this world, no matter what those stupid self-improvement, magic 8-ball fluffers say, you have to be willing to do one thing more than anyone else….

Constantly fail…forward.

Most people are afraid of failure, and even more people are afraid of failing, no matter how short or long the period of time, consistently. I mean, who wouldn’t? I’m a prime example of this. I wrote for close to 2 and a half years, with none of my writing seeing the light of day until recently by a few people. Why? Because I was so afraid that all this time I had put into writing would get ripped apart. And guess what? More or less…it did, and it feels great! I somewhat now know what direction to head, and what else to try, and most important of all, what NOT to do. Sometimes, learning what NOT to do is FAR MORE helpful than hearing from other people on what to do.
